Ashlyn RailsbackLicensed Professional Counselor Intern
    Ashlyn grew up in Graham, TX and came to Abilene to attend school at Hardin-Simmons University. There she received her Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Sciences, and after graduation, she taught at the high school level for a time. She returned to Hardin-Simmons University to work toward her Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy, which she received in 2019.

    Ashlyn has extensive experience working with young adults, individuals that have experienced trauma, depression and anxiety, and those going through life adjustments. She also provides play therapy for children, and is trained in prolonged exposure therapy to address trauma and PTSD. She believes counseling is a collaborative effort, and seeks to show compassion to every client. When not counseling her clients, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, their son, and two dogs, as well as time with extended family.
