James Scalia, Jr. is a Board Certified Physician Assistant in Abilene, Texas. He worked as a registered nurse in the ER, ICU, and Surgery for eight years before going to PA school. He credits his time as a nurse for helping him to develop healthy relationships with his patients. James has been working as a Physician Assistant for the last 15 years in urgent care and psychiatric medicine for the great City of Abilene. His focus is on treating the whole person with an emphasis on psychotherapy and psychopharmocology. He is extremely passionate about being able to reach people who may not necessarily access care in a traditional way, by utilizing tele-psychiatry.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, skiing, riding his motorcycle, and boating.
